Golden Maple Leaf 2013 Fractional Set 25th Anniversary
An exclusive set of four gold coins issued by the Royal Canadian Mint for 2013 celebrates 25 years since the first release of arguably the world's most popular silver investment coin, the Maple Leaf, which was first minted in 1988.
The Maple Leaf silver investment coin is known not only for its simply beautiful maple leaf motif, but more importantly for its absolute fineness of 999.9 purest silver. And that's why the coins in this set were struck in the same 999.9 purity of the purest 24 karat gold weighing the traditional one ounce - a historic first - in a special Ultra High Relief design and also in 1/4 Oz, 1/10 Oz and 1/20 Oz.
All four gold coins feature a beautiful maple leaf motif by Canadian artist Claudio D'Angelo on the reverse. The coins depict two overlapping maple leaves. The motif is accompanied by the inscriptions "CANADA", "FINE GOLD OR PUR", weight, purity, and the artist's initials "CD" on the left.
The obverse of each coin displays the denomination (50 dollars, 10 dollars, 5 dollars and 1 dollar), the year of issue, the inscription "ELIZABETH II" and the traditional portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanne Blunt.
The coins come in a deluxe light maple wood box along with a numbered certificate of authenticity in a very limited edition of only 600 pieces for the entire world!
