Golden Maple Leaf 2004 - 25th Anniversary
A rare set of six gold coins issued by the Royal Canadian Mint in 2004 in 99.99% purity of the purest 24 karat gold weighing 1 Oz, 1/2 Oz, 1/4 Oz, 1/10 Oz, 1/20 Oz and the first ever 1/25 Oz, celebrates 25 years since the first Maple Leaf gold investment coin was issued in 1979. All coins are mounted in a ring of absolute purity of the purest 99.99% silver.
The six gold coins feature the traditional Canadian Maple Leaf motif on their reverse. The motif is accompanied by the inscriptions "CANADA", "FINE GOLD OR PUR", weight and purity. A special mint mark (Privy mark) located below the leaf on the 1 Oz coin displays the inscription "25 YEARS ANS".
The obverse of each coin shows the face value, year of issue, the inscription "ELIZABETH II" and the traditional portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
The coins come in a deluxe box along with a numbered certificate of authenticity in a very limited edition of only 839 pieces for the entire world!
