Golden Maple Leaf 2017 - Platinum plating
This exclusive set of four gold coins issued by the Royal Canadian Mint for 2017 is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Canadian Confederation. The coins were minted in 2016 in 99.99% purity of the purest 24 karat gold in 1 Oz, 1/4 Oz, 1/10 Oz and 1/20 Oz. In addition, the rims of all coins in this set are plated in platinum.
All four gold coins depict a precise motif of a maple leaf (red maple) falling on a pile of leaves on their reverse. The maple leaf on the largest (1 Oz) coin is platinum plated. The motif is accompanied by the inscriptions "CANADA", weight, purity, anniversary year (1867,2017) and the artist's initials "LTK".
The obverse of each coin displays the denomination (50 dollars, 10 dollars, 5 dollars and 1 dollar), the inscription "ELIZABETH II" and the traditional portrait of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain by Susann Blunt.
The coins come in a deluxe maple leaf-shaped lacquered maple box along with a certificate of authenticity in a very limited edition of only 600 sets for the entire world!
