Pure Gold Fractional Set - Maple Leaf 2015
This exclusive set of four gold coins, issued by the Royal Canadian Mint for 2015, is minted in 99.99% purest 24 karat gold. The weight of the coins is 1 Oz, 1/4 Oz, 1/10 Oz and 1/20 Oz. The set pays tribute to Canada's national tree, the silver maple.
All four coins feature a maple leaf on their reverse, designed by Lilyane Coulombe. The leaf floats in the wind and its image gradually transitions to the next coin in a new form as it changes in flight through the air. The 1 Oz coin is also the first ever coin to have a serial number stamped on its edge. The motif is complemented by the year of mintage ''2015'' and the artist's initials ''LC'' on the right side of the sheet. The rim is completed with the inscriptions ''CANADA'' and ''FINE GOLD OR PUR'', the weight and purity of the coin.
The obverse of all coins bears the traditional portrait of Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt with the inscriptions ''ELIZABETH II'' ''D.G. REGINA'' and the denomination.
The coins are supplied in a luxury lacquered maple wood box along with a certificate of authenticity in a very limited edition of only 600 pieces for the whole world!
