The Shengxiao Collection - Year of the Sheep 2015
The 2015 Lunar Gold Investment Coin, issued by the British Royal Mint, weighing 1 oz (31.21 g) in purity of the purest 99.99% gold in a series named after the Chinese zodiac, The Shengxiao Collection, is dedicated to the Chinese lunar sign - the Year of the Sheep (Goat).
The reverse of the coin shows portraits of two sheep from the Swaledale Valley in Yorkshire gazing at each other. The Chinese character for sheep (goat) is placed in the background. Above the design is the inscription "YEAR OF THE SHEEP 2015" along with the weight and purity.
The obverse of the coin traditionally portrays Queen Elizabeth II looking to the right of Ian Rank-Brodley. Surrounding the portrait are the inscriptions "ELIZABETH'II'D'G", "REG'FID'DEF", the denomination and the maker's initials "IRB" below.
