Golden Maple Leaf 2015 - Maple leaves in autumn colours
An exclusive set of three gold partially coloured coins issued by the Royal Canadian Mint in 2015, minted in 99.99% purity of the purest 24 karat gold weighing 1 Oz, is dedicated to the symbol of Canada, the maple leaf.
All three gold coins depict a slightly different partially coloured motif of maple leaves falling to the ground on their reverse each time. The colours represent the stages of sugar pigmentation and chlorophyll loss in maple leaves at each stage of autumn colouration, accurately depicting their fleeting transition from dark green to golden yellow to deepest crimson. The motif is complemented by the inscriptions "CANADA", the denomination, the year of issue and the artist's initials "MG".
The obverse features a traditional portrait of Britain's Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt surrounded by the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II" and "D.G. REGINA".
The coins come in a deluxe maple wood box along with a certificate of authenticity in a very limited edition of only 300 pieces for the entire world!
