The gold commemorative coin, issued by the Bank of Israel for 2018 in 91.7% gold purity, weighing 16.96 g and in Proof design, is part of the Biblical Art series, dedicated to famous biblical events. The biblical story of Isaac and Rebecca was chosen for the twenty-second coin in the series.

The reverse of the coin depicts the motif of the servant Eliezer leading Rebecca on a camel, standing out against a polished background. In the foreground on the left, Isaac looks down on them. Tents are depicted in the distance.

The story of Isaac and Rebecca is one of the most beautiful stories in the Old Testament about trust, loyalty and God's guidance. Isaac was the son of Abraham, the man to whom God promised numerous descendants and a great nation. When Isaac grew up, it was time to find him a wife who would become part of this story. So Abraham sent his faithful servant. He set out on a long journey, asking God for a sign along the way that would help him recognize the right woman for Isaac. When he arrived at a well near the city, he prayed that the girl who would offer him water and water his camels would be the chosen one. It wasn’t long before young Rebekah came to the well. She was kind, willing, and hospitable. When the servant asked for water, she willingly served him and without hesitation watered all the animals. The servant recognized this as an answer to his prayer and asked permission to take Rebekah to Isaac. When, after many days, she approached the place where Isaac lived, she saw a man walking in the field in the distance. It was Isaac. Their meeting became a symbol of trust in God’s guidance and a willingness to embark on a journey whose end is unknown.
