Wildlife in the Moonlight: Grey Wolf
An exclusive gold-plated silver coin, minted in 2020 and weighing 2 Oz (62.2 g) in the purest 99.9% silver with Antique Standard finish, this coin is part of the Wildlife In The Moonlight series, which captures wildlife in the moonlight in an original way. The second coin in the series features the Grey Wolf (Canis lupus).
The reverse side of the coin depicts a howling wolf in the middle of a moonlit night. The stylishly clean motif is accentuated by the embossing and elaborate details that can be seen on the animal's body and the surrounding wooded landscape. The perception of the beauty of the wilderness is enhanced by the selectively gilded full moon. The motif is complemented by the wolf's name in English "GRAY WOLF" and Latin "CANIS LUPUS".
The obverse bears a traditional portrait of Britain's Queen Elizabeth II by Ian-Rank Broadley with the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II", "NIUE", the denomination, purity, year of issue and weight.
The coin comes in a gift box with a certificate of authenticity, limited to only 500 pieces worldwide.
