Somalia - African Wilderness
The Republic of Somalia African Wildlife Series silver investment coins minted for 2021 in purity of the purest 99.99% silver weighing 1 Oz (31.1 g) have been issued since 2004 by the Bavarian Mint in Munich, Germany (Das Bayerische Hauptmünzamt Mint) with a history dating back to 1158.
On its reverse side, the coin depicts a close-up frontal view of an African elephant in an African savannah setting. The rim is inscribed "AFRICAN WILDLIFE", "ELEPHANT", "1oz Ag 999.9".
The obverse of the coin depicts the heraldic symbol of the Republic of Somalia, two leopards holding a shield depicting a five-pointed star, below the shield are two crossed spears entwined by a ribbon and two crossed palm leaves. Above the shield is the inscription 'SOMALI REPUBLIC' accompanied by the year of issue and the denomination.
