Silver coin with amethyst
A unique silver coin gilded with rose gold issued by the State of Niue for 2021 and precisely minted by the Polish Mint from the purest 99.9% silver weighing 17.5 g is dedicated to the scarab beetle.
The gold-plated coin depicts a purple scarab on its reverse, which is inspired by the ancient style, with its wings outstretched. Above it is a real amethyst surrounded by a lotus flower motif. In ancient Egypt, the scarab beetle was considered the embodiment of divinity. As a symbol of rebirth, it was believed to represent the sun's journey across the sky. The mineral Amethyst restores life balance, induces calm, promotes positive thinking and deep sleep.
The obverse features a traditional portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley along with the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II", "NIUE ISLAND", purity, denomination, year of issue in the artist's initials and mint mark.
The coin comes in a presentation frame with a certificate of authenticity. The mintage is limited to 500 pieces for the whole world!
