Colours of Wildlife - Tiger - 3D High Relief
A unique silver coin partially filled with semi-permeable enamel is issued by the State of Barbados for 2021 weighing 3 Oz (93.3 g) in Extra High Relief in Antique Standard finish and purity of pure 99.9% silver. The coin features a majestic tiger and is the first coin in the "Colours of the Wild" series.
The reverse of the coin depicts a tiger in a real life tropical rainforest environment. The cat-like beast partially pokes its head out of the jungle in the center of the coin, and the rim is lined with leaves. The jungle effect is created by the filling of transparent green enamel, which hides the colourful wildlife, creating an amazing 3D effect. Leaves and grasses are visible under the enamel. The name of the coin "TIGER" and the year of issue complete the rim.
The tiger (Panthera tigris) of the order of beasts inhabits various areas from the jungle to the steppe and the Nordic tundra. Its body length exceeds 2 m and with a weight of more than 200 kg (about 130 kg for the female), the tiger is the third largest carnivore after the polar and brown bear.
The face depicts the national emblem of Barbados surrounded by the inscriptions "BARBADOS" and the denomination "5 DOLLARS". It is further surrounded by various wildlife, the series name "COLOURS OF WILDLIFE" and weight and purity information.
The coin comes in a deluxe wooden box along with a numbered certificate of authenticity in a limited edition of only 999 pieces for the entire world! The edge of the coin also bears the original number.
