Colours of Wildlife - Koala - 3D High Relief
This unique silver coin is partially filled with semi-permeable enamel and is issued by the State of Barbados for 2022 and weighs 3 Oz (93.3 g) in Extra High Relief in Antique Standard finish and purity of 99.9% pure silver. The coin features a Koala bear motif and is the second coin in the "Colours of the Wild" series.
The reverse of the coin depicts a koala in a real life subtropical rainforest environment. The bear-like marsupial hangs from a tree in the center of the coin, and leaves of the blackthorn tree line the rim. The jungle effect is created by filling the coin with transparent green enamel, which hides the colourful wildlife, creating an amazing 3D effect. The leaves are visible under the enamel. The name of the coin "AUSTRALIAN KOALA", the year of issue and the footprint complete the rim.
The bear koala (Phascolarctos cinereus) of the marsupial superorder inhabits the eastern and southern coasts of Australia in areas with sufficient moisture. Its body length reaches 70-90 cm and weight 5-12 kg.
The face depicts the national emblem of Barbados surrounded by the inscriptions "BARBADOS" and the denomination "5 DOLLARS". The emblem is further surrounded by various wildlife, the series name "COLOURS OF WILDLIFE" and weight and purity information.
The coin comes in a deluxe wooden box along with a numbered certificate of authenticity in a limited edition of only 999 pieces for the entire world! The edge of the coin also bears the original number.
