Rectangular Dragon 2025 1 Oz silver
A silver investment coin, issued by the Australian Perth Mint for the year 2025 in the purity of the purest 99.99% silver weighing 1 Oz (31.1 g), represents a significant symbol of abundance and power in an original form - a Chinese dragon on a rectangular coin format.
The reverse of the silver coin bears an elaborate motif of a Chinese dragon interpreted by experienced medalist Lucas Bowers with the initials of the author of the design "LB". The overall image of the legendary creature is stylized for an unconventional format. It includes the mint mark "P" and the year of issue "2025".
In Chinese mythology, the dragon has the highest position in the hierarchy of beings. This mythical creature of divine origin symbolizes strength, luck and abundance and is a permanent sign of power. At the same time, it is perceived as the personification of the sun, light and life and is worshipped as the lord of the weather and water elements.
The obverse of the silver coin features a portrait of King Charles III by Dan Thorne with the initials “DT”. The name “CHARLES III” is printed at the top, the state name “AUSTRALIA” is printed at the bottom, and the weight, fineness and face value of the coin are printed at the bottom “1 DOLLAR”.
The coin comes in a protective capsule and is Australian legal tender under the Currency Act 1965.
