Chronos 2019
The silver investment coin, issued by the island state of Tokelau and minted by the Bratislava Mint Pressburg Mint in 2019 in the purest 99.9% silver and weighing 1 Oz (31.3 g), is inspired by and named after the ancient Greek personification of time - Chronos.
The reverse side of the coin is stylized in the form of a clock face. The hands show the time 11:55 (in five minutes twelve). In the 12 o'clock position, the chemical mark of silver "AG" is indicated. At the 5 o'clock position is the numeral "5" accompanied by the inscription "DOLLARS", the coin's face value. At the 9 o'clock position is the motto "NOW AND FOREVER" and the inscription "CHRONOS" in two lines. The circumference of the coin is decorated with sections of the dial indicating the division of time into hours and minutes.
The obverse bears a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain by Ian-Rank Broadley on the left. In the right-hand part of the coin's field is the numeral "5" in its own circle with the inscription "NEW ZELAND DOLLARS *****". From it, wavy spokes run out to the four sides. The rim of the coin is partially decorated with a raster of an hour dial and is accompanied by the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II * TOKELAU 2019" and "ONE OUNCE FINE SILVER 999".
