Chronos 2021
The exclusive silver coin issued by the island state of Tokelau and minted by the Bratislava Mint Pressburg Mint in 2021 in Proof-like quality and purity of the purest 99.99% silver weighing 1 Oz (31.3 g) is inspired by and named after the ancient Greek personification of time - Chronos.
The reverse side of the coin is stylized to resemble the face of an antique watch with a mirrored nautical motif in the form of a mermaid and a ship's anchor. The background of the inner part consists of a wavy texture. The name of the coin 'CHRONOS' appears at the top. At the bottom is a latent image of an infinite knot, a symbol of fluidity and eternity, and below it the weight and purity of the metal '1 OZ FINE SILVER 9999'. The inner circle of the cypher is marked by Roman numerals separated by a small decorative element. The ornamental hands indicate the time 11:55 (in five minutes twelve). At the 12 o'clock position, the silver chemical mark 'AG' is indicated.
The obverse bears a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain by Ian-Rank Broadley and the year of issue "2021" divided into tens. The background of the inner part is an undulating texture. At the bottom are two mirrored views of a clockwork movement, separated by the infinity knot symbol. Laurel branches decorate the rim and link the inscription "ELIZABETH II - TOKELAU" and the denomination "5 DOLLARS".
