Super Incuse Silver Maple Leaf (SML)
This exclusive 2021 Royal Canadian Mint silver commemorative coin, minted in 2021 in a premium quality 1 Oz proof in absolute purity of the purest 99.99% silver, is released to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the recognition of the maple tree as Canada's national tree.
Canada's traditional symbol, the Maple Leaf, is introduced using new Super Incuse minting technology - the 1.5mm depth of relief recedes to 40% of the coin's thickness.
The reverse side of the coin bears Walter Ott's iconic sugar maple leaf design, which has remained unchanged since the first silver investment coin was minted in 1988. The new design uses Super Incuse technology, a deepened embossing process that reaches to an extreme depth of 1.5mm. The coin is struck in a reverse proof design, which adds the necessary contrast to the recessed relief and the elaborate structure of the sheet by means of a subtly matt background. The significant Canadian anniversary is commemorated by a small mark in the form of a combination of a maple leaf and the numeral "25". To the right and left of the motif is the silver purity. The description of the coin states the inscription "CANADA" and the weight of the metal "FINE SILVER 1 OZ ARGENT PUR".
The obverse of the coin features a traditional portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt. The description of the coin includes the inscription "ELIZABETH II", the face value "20 DOLLARS" and the year of issue "2021".
The coin comes in a leatherette box along with a numbered certificate of authenticity in an exclusive limited edition of only 6,000 pieces for the entire world!
