Super Incuse Silver Maple Leaf (SML)
This exclusive Royal Canadian Mint 2023 reverse proof 1 Oz silver commemorative coin, minted in 2023 at a superb grade of 99.99% silver, features the traditional Canadian Maple Leaf symbol in Super Incuse. Sophisticated embossing technology allows for a depth of relief of 1.5mm. The main motif of the coin is thus recessed to the level of 40% of the total thickness of the coin and plated with black rhodium.
The reverse side of the coin bears Walter Otto's iconic sugar maple leaf design, which has remained unchanged since the first silver investment coin was minted in 1988. The modern design uses the technology of recessed minting and selective black rhodium plating. The coin is struck in a reverse proof design, which adds the necessary contrast to the recessed relief and elaborate leaf structure. The gold purity is indicated to the right and left of the design. The description of the coin states "CANADA" and the weight of the metal "FINE SILVER 1 OZ ARGENT PUR". The edge of the coin is accented with black rhodium.
The obverse of the coin shows a portrait and shading indicating the reign of Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt. The description of the coin includes the inscription "ELIZABETH II", the denomination "20 DOLLARS" and the year of issue "2023". The background of the coin is plated with black rhodium.
The coin comes in a leatherette box along with a numbered certificate of authenticity in an exclusive limited edition of only 8,000 pieces for the whole world!
