Chronos 2022
The exclusive silver coin issued by the island state of Tokelau and minted by the Bratislava Mint Pressburg Mint in 2022 in Proof-like quality and purity of the purest 99.99% silver weighing 1 Oz (31.3 g) is inspired by and named after the ancient Greek personification of time - Chronos.
The reverse side of the coin is stylized in the form of a clock face, which uses a broken font from the Gothic period. The background structure combines the appearance of facets and interlocking lines. Together with glossy and matt elements, the geometric pattern creates the illusion of plasticity of the dial. The ornamental hands indicate the time 11:55 (in five minutes to twelve). The 12 o'clock numeral is replaced by the silver chemical mark "AG". At 3 o'clock the name of the coin "CHRONOS" is given in decorative lettering. At 6 o'clock, the denomination of the coin is indicated in a small circle as '6 DOLLARS'. The circle at the edge of the coin is divided by minute sections.
The obverse bears a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian-Rank Broadley, which is accompanied by two thumbnail views of the clock movement. Included are the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II", "TOKELAU 2022" and the weight and purity of the metal "1 OZ FINE SILVER 9999".
