Armenia - Noah's Ark
This exclusive gold investment coin of the Republic of Armenia, minted in the purest 99.99% pure gold, weighs 1 Oz (31.1 g) and depicts the biblical motif of Noah's Ark pointing towards Mount Ararat, the Armenian national symbol.
The reverse side of the coin depicts Noah's Ark with a dove flying towards it with an olive branch in its beak. In the background of the motif, Mount Ararat rises at sunrise. The inscriptions "NOEM'S ARCH" in English and Armenian appear on the rim of the coin. The coin was designed by Eduard Kurghinyan and describes the Flood of Genesis (Chapters 7-8).
The obverse depicts the national emblem of Armenia, weight, purity, face value, year of issue and the mint mark "LEV". The coin's rim bears the inscription "REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA" and its transcription in Armenian.
The coin is issued by the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia and, as legal tender in Armenia, is subject to strict production requirements. It is produced by a German private mint, whose mark LEV - Leipziger Edelmetall Verarbeitung (Leipzig Precious Metals Factory) appears on the obverse of the coin.
The coins, with their numbered certificate of authenticity, are stored in a security capsule which can only be opened by destroying it.
