Armenia - Noah's Ark
Thefirst silver investment coin of the Republic of Armenia in purity of the purest 99.9% silver issued since July 4, 2011 is dedicated to Noah's Ark and Mount Ararat. The coin is produced by a German private mint whose mark LEV - Leipziger Edelmetall Verarbeitung (Leipzig Precious Metals Factory) is placed on the obverse side of the coin.
Obverse
The obverse depicts the national emblem of Armenia, weight, purity and face value.
Reverse
The reverse of the coin attractively depicts Noah's Ark floating towards the two peaks of Mount Ararat located in the background behind the Ark. In the foreground is a flying dove with an olive branch in its beak. The author is Eduard Kurghinyan. The motif describes the flood from the book of Genesis (Chapters 7-8).
