Iconic Australian Swan 2020
This unique gold investment coin, minted by the Perth Mint in 2020 in the finest 99.99% pure gold, weighing 1 Oz (31.1 g), bears the Mint's swan symbol on its reverse, which is also part of its logo. The Australian Swan coins were launched in 2017 and each year a new original design is prepared, as is the case with the Kangaroo gold investment coins.
The reverse of the coin depicts a swan in a defensive stance defending its territory. It intimidates intruders by flapping its wings, puffing out its chest and raising its head on its long neck. The design includes the mint mark 'P'. The reverse is bordered by the inscription "THE 1 OZ 9999 AUSTRALIAN GOLD SWAN".
The obverse shows a traditional portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark with the initials "JC" and the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II", "AUSTRALIA", the year of issue "2020" and the face value. The coin has the status of Australian legal tender under the Monetary Act 1965.
The coin comes in a protective plastic capsule and is limited to a mintage of just 5,000 worldwide!
