Gold historical coins

Historical gold coins are coins that come from different periods of human civilization. Coins that date back to the earliest human civilizations and states that began to be used in everyday life and payment are still found today.

Coins had their greatest growth and spread in the period of ancient Greece. In the beginning, they were minted with the same value as the metal from which they came. Later, they were also found with other metals.

The value of historical gold coins is mainly determined by the period from which they originate, their preservation, the type of metal from which they are struck, the theme, the workmanship, the quality of the mintage and also the number of pieces in a given issue.

Coins differ from each other by the country in which they are minted. Each coin preserves and depicts a given history, the culture of a given country and the personalities, such as the rulers depicted on the coins.

The first coins in the Czech territory were denarii, their minting dates from the 1060s to the 13th century. These coins were minted from silver. On the other hand, the first medieval gold coin was minted from 1325 to 1353 during the reign of the rulers of the House of Luxembourg, John I and Charles IV.

The most sought-after historical gold coins include the Austro-Hungarian coins, Dutch guldens and American Double Eagle gold coins.

Today we still encounter coins that are minted as newly minted. These include the ducats, the 4-ducats of Franz Joseph I, which were last issued in 1914. Coins dated 1915 are still minted by the Austrian Mint as official new issues.

Gold Historical Coins - History at your fingertips...

Historical gold coins can rightly be described as the bearers of time, messengers from the past. They have been with us on this planet for thousands of years, bringing us hidden clues and information about ancient times, about the beginnings of ancient human civilizations, about the skill of our ancestors. They are proof that gold is eternal. They float through time to the present day and are found daily all over the world, from different periods and cultures. Even after a long time, they retain their beauty, preservation, uniqueness and incalculable value.

Each coin represents a part of the era in which it was minted. Simply put, a coin is a piece of history in the palm of a man's hand. Just looking at the coin itself gives us ideas of who held it in their hand x centuries ago, who created it, who paid with it, etc... It is a return to a bygone era. These historical coins not only provide a suitable form of value preservation, as they are made of precious metals, but they also hold a piece of history (uniqueness) and therefore represent the potential for many times higher appreciation, as they are rare.
