Super Incuse Gold Maple Leaf (GML)
Minted by the Royal Canadian Mint in 2023, this exclusive 2 Oz reverse proof gold commemorative coin in 99.99% gold purity features the traditional Canadian Maple Leaf symbol in Super Incuse. Sophisticated embossing technology allows for a depth of relief of 1.5mm. The main motif of the coin is thus embedded to the level of 40% of the total thickness of the coin and plated with black rhodium.
The reverse side of the coin bears Walter Otto's iconic sugar maple leaf design, which has remained unchanged since the first gold investment coin was minted in 1979. The new design uses the technology of deepened embossing and selective black rhodium plating. The coin is struck in a reverse proof design, which adds the necessary contrast to the recessed relief and elaborate leaf structure. The gold purity is indicated to the right and left of the design. The description of the coin states "CANADA" and the metal weight "FINE GOLD 2 OZ OR PUR". The edge of the coin is accented with black rhodium.
The obverse of the coin features a portrait and reign years of Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt. The description of the coin includes the inscription "ELIZABETH II", the face value "200 DOLLARS" and the year of issue "2023". The background of the coin is plated with black rhodium.
The coin comes in a leatherette box along with a numbered certificate of authenticity in an exclusive limited edition of only 275 pieces for the entire world!
