Super Incuse Gold Maple Leaf (GML)
An exclusive gold commemorative coin minted by the Royal Canadian Mint in 2022 in a premium quality reverse proof 2 Oz weight with an absolute purity of 99.99% gold, this coin features the traditional Canadian Maple Leaf symbol in a Super Incuse design. Sophisticated embossing technology allows for a depth of relief of 1.5mm. Further pushing the boundaries is the rose gold plated main motif of the coin, which is recessed to a level of 40% of the coin's total thickness.
The reverse side of the coin bears Walter Otto's iconic sugar maple leaf design, which has remained unchanged since the first gold investment coin was minted in 1979. The new design uses the technology of deepened embossing and selective rose gold plating. The coin is struck in a reverse proof design, which adds the necessary contrast to the recessed relief and elaborate leaf structure. The matte background is complemented by a radially arranged Canadian design. The gold purity is indicated to the right and left of the design. The description of the coin states "CANADA" and the weight of the metal "FINE GOLD 2 OZ OR PUR". The edge of the coin is accented with rose gold.
The obverse of the coin features a traditional portrait of Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt, which is plated in rose gold. The description of the coin includes the inscription "ELIZABETH II", the face value "200 DOLLARS" and the year of issue "2022".
The coin comes in a leatherette box along with a numbered certificate of authenticity in an exclusive limited edition of only 250 pieces for the entire world!
