Call of the Wild - Howling Wolf - Highest Purity Gold - Proof
Issued by the Royal Canadian Mint in 2014 as the first in a series of three "Call of the Wild" coins, this premium proof-quality 1 Oz (31.16 g) gold coin in absolute purity of the purest 99.999% gold is dedicated to the wolf of the Canadian wild.
The coin features a portrait of a howling wolf on its reverse. The background features stripes symbolizing the sound of the wolf's howl. The motif is surrounded by the inscriptions "CANADA", "FINE GOLD", fineness "99999", "1 OZ OR PUR". The artist's initials "PL" are placed under the wolf.
The obverse shows a traditional portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanne Blunt with the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II" denomination "200 DOLLARS" and year of issue.
The coin comes in a burgundy leatherette box along with a numbered certificate of authenticity in a limited edition of only 2000 pieces for the entire world!
