RCM - Maple Leaf - Incuse
A silver investment coin issued by the Royal Canadian Mint in 2018 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the first issue of arguably the world's most popular silver investment coin, the Maple Leaf, which was first minted in 1988. The worldwide mintage of Maple Leaf Incuse coins is limited to 250,000 pieces.
The Canadian Mint mints gold, silver, platinum and palladium investment coins known as Maple Leaf coins because they feature a maple leaf. The coins contain no other metals, just pure silver mined from silver mines in Canada. The Maple Leaf silver investment coin has been offered since 1988 and guarantees a metal content (in troy ounces) and absolute 99.99% purity of the purest silver.
Face
All coins depict the likeness of Queen Elizabeth II and have Canadian legal tender status.
Reverse
Silver investment coins bear the symbol of Canada, the maple leaf, on their reverse. In contrast to the Maple Leaf silver investment coin, the Maple Leaf Incuse coin features the main motif of the maple leaf recessed in depth, below the level of the radial lines. A special embossing technology (GEM BU) gives the coin's motif impressive optical effects and original light surfaces full of detail and sharp depressions. The background of the coin consists of radial rays. The security mark is also included - a small maple leaf with the year of issue "18" (can be seen under a magnifying glass). The security mark is made using the laser microfabrication technique used on all Maple Leaf gold and silver investment coins issued since 2014.Product Specifications
