Somalia - African Wilderness - Leopard 2022
The very popular silver investment coins are issued by the Republic of Somalia for the year 2022 in the finest 99.99% pure silver, weighing 1 Oz (31.1 g). The leopard motif has been released since 2018 and is part of the African Wildlife series, minted by the Bavarian Mint in Munich (Das Bayerische Hauptmünzamt Mint) with a tradition of more than 800 years (est. 1158).
The reverse side of the coin depicts a leopard on a rocky outcrop covered with modest vegetation. The inscriptions "AFRICAN WILDLIFE", "LEOPARD" and "1oz Ag 999.9" complete the rim.
The obverse of the coin depicts the heraldic symbol of the Republic of Somalia, two leopards holding a shield depicting a five-pointed star, with two crossed spears beneath the shield entwined by a ribbon and two crossed palm leaves. Above the shield is the inscription 'SOMALI REPUBLIC' accompanied by the year of issue and the denomination.
