Australian Koala 2022
Australian Koala investment coins have been issued by the Perth Mint since 1990 in various weights and designs. Since 2018, the coins have been minted in the purest 99.99% silver purity. Since 2007, the Mint has changed the koala motif every year, which increases the attractiveness of the coin and the interest of numismatists.
The reverse depicts a koala on the branch of a eucalyptus tree, where it spends long hours resting and sleeping. The traditional symbol of Australia is complemented by the tiny initials of the designer. The stylized name of the coin "KOALA" and information about the year of issue, weight, and purity of the metal are given at the top of the coin.
The obverse bears the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and has the status of Australian legal tender. The portrait is accompanied by the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II", "AUSTRALIA" and the face value. The coins are supplied in a protective plastic capsule.
