Australian Koala 2020
Australian Koala investment coins have been issued by the Perth Mint since 1990 in a variety of weights and designs. Since 2018, the coins have been minted in the purest 99.99% silver purity.
The reverse traditionally shows a koala, the symbol of Australia, weight, purity, year of issue and the inscription "AUSTRALIAN KOALA". Since 2007, the Mint has changed the koala motif every year, which increases the attractiveness of the coin and the interest of numismatists.
The obverse bears the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and has the status of Australian legal tender. The portrait is accompanied by the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II", "AUSTRALIA" and the face value. The coins are supplied in a protective plastic capsule.
