Iconic Australian swan on silver investment coin
This unique silver investment coin was issued by the Perth Mint in 2018 in the finest 99.99% pure silver, weighing 1 Oz (31.1 g). The Australian Mint plans to issue these investment coins with a new design each year, as is the case with the Kangaroo silver investment coins.
The reverse of the coin bears the swan motif, which is synonymous with the Perth Mint itself (it is even part of its logo). The swan and its cygnet float on the water, which can be seen at the edge of the coin. The Mint's "P" mark is also present. The inscriptions "THE 1 OZ 9999 AUSTRALIAN SILVER SWAN" line the reverse. The obverse shows a traditional portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley with the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II", "AUSTRALIA", the face value "1 DOLLARS", the year of issue "2018" and the artist's initials "IRB".
The coin comes in a protective plastic capsule and is limited to a mintage of just 25,000 worldwide!
