Detailed description
Folded Dreams - Paper Frog 2 Oz
A unique 2 Oz (62.2 g) silver 3D coin issued by the State of Niue for the year 2026 in the purity of 99.9% pure silver in Antique Standard design, represents the third coin in the Folded Dreams series, the Paper Frog.
The specially shaped coin offers a precisely processed 3D model of a folded paper frog complete with a fingerprint after the first adventurous leap into the unknown. The coin motif is complemented by information about the nominal value, country of origin and information about the weight and purity of the metal in a stylistic font. The belly of the frog is complemented by the national emblem of Niue, the year of issue "2026" and the PowerCoin company logo.
The paper frog is a small miracle hidden in a sheet of paper. You just have to fold it and it is ready to "jump" into the world of fantasy. It is a symbol of children's games, sunny afternoons and the sounds of laughter that flow from a room or garden. Her little legs can't really hop, but in skillful hands she comes to life and jumps from one side of the table to the other. She doesn't need glue or scissors, just patience, imagination and a desire to play. And it is in that simplicity, in those short jumps and delicate folds, that her magic lies, which can conjure up joy where you least expect it.
To fold a paper frog, you need soft A4-size paper. Fold opposite corners in half and cut off the excess strip of paper, creating a square. Fold the paper in half lengthwise, turn it so that the opening sides are facing up and fold it in half again with the short side. This marks the center on each side. Turn the paper upside down and fold the short sides towards the center. It is turned upside down again and the resulting centers on the opposite halves are pushed outwards and the edges are folded inwards - this creates a triangle on each side. The corners of the longer sides of the triangles are folded diagonally towards the center and then folded in the opposite direction again. This creates the legs. The puzzle is turned upside down. The opposite corners (on the sides where there are no legs) are folded towards the center on one side, creating the head. The wider part of the frog is bent towards the center as much as the legs allow - the protruding corners from the opposite side are tucked into the resulting gaps in the corners. The frog is turned upside down, folded in half so that the front and back legs fit together and the back part is folded in half again - this creates a jumping part and the frog is ready for adventure.
The coin comes in a themed case along with a certificate of authenticity. The total mintage is limited to 499 pieces worldwide!
