Folded Dreams - Paper Boat 2 Oz
A unique 2 Oz (62.2 g) silver 3D coin issued by the State of Niue for the year 2025 in the purity of 99.9% pure silver in the Antique Standard design, represents the second coin in the Folded Dreams series, the Paper Boat.
The specially shaped coin offers a precisely processed 3D model of a folded paper boat including water stains on the underside, which were caused by the first voyage in a puddle. Information about the face value, country of origin, year of issue, weight and purity of the metal and the total number of pieces minted, are located in the same places as on real seagoing ships.
The paper boat is one of the most magical creations made of paper. For many people, it is a symbol of childhood, rainy days and puddles in which the boats set off on their first "voyages". All you need is a simple sheet of paper and a few minutes of time to create a small toy that can delight generations. It doesn't require glue or scissors, just patient hands and a little imagination. Although it is fragile and water will eventually overwhelm it, its transience gives it a special charm.
To fold a paper boat, you need soft A4-size paper. Fold the paper in half lengthwise and then once more to create a center line. With the folded side up, fold the corners diagonally towards the center to create a triangle shape. The resulting lower rectangular space is folded upwards from both sides to create a simple cap. The protruding corners are bent over the triangle, creating a triangle shape. From the inside, the triangle is opened into a diamond shape and the lower corners are bent upwards from both sides. The resulting triangle is opened again into a diamond shape. Finally, the upper corner is carefully spread to the sides and the boat is ready to sail.
The coin comes in a themed case along with a certificate of authenticity. The total mintage is limited to 499 pieces worldwide!
