5 Oz Silver Coin with Pearl - Year of the Dog 2018
After the huge success of the silver and gold coins with mother of pearl released in previous years, another unique gold coin with mother of pearl is released for 2018, dedicated to the Chinese lunar cycle - the Year of the Dog.
This five-ounce coin (155.5 g) issued by the Solomon Islands State is minted in 2017 in the purest 99.9% silver purity and its inner core is made of real mother-of-pearl.
The mother-of-pearl core in a yellow-brown hue depicts on its reverse the motif of a dog lying in front of a house. The design incorporates another portrait of a dog with a sincere look. The outer gold circle bears the inscriptions "YEAR OF THE DOG" and the denomination. The obverse features a traditional portrait of Britain's Queen Elizabeth II by Ian-Rank Broadley and the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II", "SOLOMON ISLAND", "2018", the artist's initials "IRB" and the weight and purity of the silver.
The coin is encased in its original cut glass presentation plate and comes in a deluxe gift case along with a numbered certificate of authenticity in a limited edition of only 888 pieces for the entire world!
