The Royal Canadian Mint's exclusive 2022 5 Oz (157.6 g) Interactive Silver Coin in absolute finest 99.99% Proof Silver brings the magic of Christmas and its holiday splendour.
On the reverse side of the coin, Canadian engraver Ryan Poser has constructed a picturesque Christmas village in a winter setting. The elaborate 3D model is set in a base representing a freshly fallen snow cover with a subtle snowflake motif. Adding to the Christmas atmosphere is Santa Claus' interactive 3D sleigh, which circles the village when the coin is tilted. Both 3D elements are cast in sterling silver (925/1000 Ag). The scene of festive splendour is surrounded by a Christmas garland which, like the edge of the coin, is selectively gold-plated. The inscription "CANADA", the year of issue "2022" and the initials of the artist "RP" are included.
The obverse bears a gold-plated portrait of Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt, which matches the coin's edge plating. The background of the coin is engraved with a Canadian design. The description of the coin states the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II", "D.G.REGINA" and the face value "50 DOLLARS".
The coin is housed under a glass dome with a wooden base. A black cardboard box with the mint logo serves for protection. A numbered certificate of authenticity is included. The mintage of the coin is limited to 1,000 pieces for the whole world!
