The unique silver coin with glass insert, issued by the State of Palau for 2021, weighing 1 kilogram of the purest 99.9% silver in ultra-high relief and Proof, is part of the Tiffany Art Metropolis series, which combines artistic techniques to offer a bird's eye view of major cities. The first coin in the series, at a generous 120mm diameter, features Paris - the city of love.

On the reverse side of the coin, the network of streets and boulevards of the French capital is transferred using Smartminting® technology. Highlighted Parisian landmarks rise above the imaginary city level, creating the illusion of three-dimensional elements. The Tiffany Art glass insert runs through the centre of the city and marks the course of the River Seine. The blue-tinted glass is recessed into the depth of the coin and, together with the Proof design used for the street system, creates interesting lighting effects. The name of the series and the year of issue, "METROPOLIS", "TIFFANY ART 2021", are shown in two lines at the bottom edge of the coin.

The obverse of the coin shows a view of one of the most beautiful bridges in Paris - the Pont Alexandre III. The bridge arches over the Seine in a single arch. The sculptural decoration and the night lighting, elaborated in fine detail, are what attract attention to the representation of the structure. The water surface is traced by an intricate spiral pattern and contains the stylised inscription "PARIS je l'aime". It includes the national emblem of the Republic of Palau with the inscription "REPUBLIC OF PALAU" and the denomination "$50".
