Silver Kilo Coin - In the Eyes of the Timber Wolf
An exclusive silver partially enamelled coin, issued by the Royal Canadian Mint in 2017 as the fourth in a series of coins issued since 2014 in a premium quality proof of 1 Kg in absolute purity of the purest 99.99% silver, is dedicated to the wildlife of Canada.
The reverse of the coin features a detailed portrait of a wolf and its gaze of golden yellow eyes highlighted by enamel technique. The realistic feel and depth of the wolf's fur, ears, muzzle and mouth are enhanced by advanced finishing and shading techniques and intricate engravings. The Gray Wolf or Timber Wolf is a canine carnivore native to areas of North America and Canada. The motif is accompanied by the inscription "CANADA" and the artist's initials "PL" are placed on the right. The obverse shows a traditional portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt with the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II", "D G REGINA", the denomination "250 DOLLARS" and the year of issue.
The coin comes in a dark brown maple wood box along with a numbered certificate of authenticity in an exclusive limited edition of only 400 pieces for the entire world!
