Call of the Wild - Moose - 2019 - .99999
The premium gold investment coin issued by the Royal Canadian Mint in 2019 in the "Call of the Wild" series is dedicated to the North American Moose, a representative of Canadian wildlife.
This 1 oz - 31.1 g investment coin is exclusively minted in 99.999% purest 24 karat gold (the world's purest gold investment coin). The coin is encased in a protective plastic card, which also serves as a certificate of authenticity.
The gold investment coin features a portrait of a moose on its reverse. On the background there are stripes symbolizing the sound of the moose's roar. The motif is surrounded by the inscriptions "CANADA", "FINE GOLD", fineness "99999", "1 OZ OR PUR". The artist's initials "PL" are placed below the deer. Also included is a security mark - a small maple leaf with the year of issue "19" (can be seen under a magnifying glass). The security mark is made using the laser microfabrication technique used on all Maple Leaf gold and silver investment coins issued since 2014.
The obverse shows a traditional portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanne Blunt with the inscription "ELIZABETH II", the denomination "200 DOLLARS" and the year of issue.
