Exclusive gold coin struck by Casa da Moeda do Brasil mint in top proof quality, weighing 4.4 g, issued by Brazil in 2014 as the first of the coins issued on the occasion of the XXXI Summer Olympic Games, which will be held in the South American city of Rio de Janeiro from 5 August to 21 August 2016.
The first three gold coins issued on this occasion represent the Olympic motto "Citius, Altius, Fortius" (Faster, Higher, Stronger). The reverse of this coin depicts a precise motif of an athlete running, the inscriptions "Citius, Altius, Fortius" and the year of issue "2014". The obverse depicts the landmark of the city of Rio de Janeiro, the statue of Christ the Saviour, along with the face value, the official logo of the 2016 Olympic Games and the inscription "BRASIL".
