Grizzly - Canadian Wildlife
The Royal Canadian Mint is issuing a silver investment coin dedicated to the Grizzly Bear for 2017. The investment coin is struck in pure silver (999.9/1000) and weighs 10 Oz (311 g).
The face of the coin features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II created in 2003 by Canadian artist Susanna Blunt. The inscriptions on the coin are "ELIZABETH II", "D.G.REGINA" and the denomination "50 DOLLARS".
The reverse bears the motif of a roaring grizzly bear on top of a rock. On the right is a small maple leaf and above it the year of issue "2017". The striped rim is decorated with the inscriptions "CANADA, 9999, FINE SILVER, 10 OZ, ARGENT PUR 9999".
