Silver Gold Plated Coin 2 Oz American Eagle 2026
Detailed description
Silver American Eagle Filigree Coin
The 2 oz (62.2 g) silver collector coin issued by the Solomon Islands for the year 2026, in the purest 99.9% silver and top Proof-like quality, depicts the symbol of the United States of America, the American Eagle.
The coin, plated with 24kt gold, bears on the reverse side in the center a motif of an American eagle with spread wings against a background of radial rays in a holographic effect. The outer ring of the coin bears stars symbolizing the states of the USA, created using the filigree technique.
The bald eagle is one of the most famous predators in North America and is also one of the most distinctive symbols of the United States of America. This majestic bird is easily recognizable thanks to its white head, dark body and powerful curved beak. Its wingspan can reach up to two meters, making it an imposing ruler of the sky.
The bald eagle was chosen as the national symbol of the United States in 1782 because it represents strength, freedom and independence, the values on which American society is built. It often appears on state seals, coins and official documents.
The obverse of the coin bears in the center a portrait of King Charles III by Dan Thorn with the initials of the author "DT" along with the inscriptions "CHARLES III", "SOLOMON ISLANDS", information about the weight and purity of the metal and the nominal value "5 DOLLARS". The outer ring depicts a mirror copy of the reverse of the coin - a partial hint of the wings that extend beyond the center and the stars created using the filigree technique.
The coin comes in an original presentation box along with a certificate of authenticity, in a limited edition of 1,986 pieces for the whole world!
