Issued by the State of Niue in 2022, this unusual 2 Oz (62.2 g) high relief silver coin in the finest 99.9% pure silver with an Antique Standard finish celebrates the power and beauty of nature and depicts wild landscapes.
The reverse of the coin depicts the reality and mystical elements of wild nature. The center of the coin is dominated by our planet Earth, symbolizing that the earth is not only home to humans, but also home to animals and plants that must respect each other. The planet is surrounded by a winged lion, a deer and a unicorn and other animals. The design, reminiscent of a coat of arms, is enhanced by an intricate pattern with flowers and natural elements such as intertwining tree branches.
The obverse features a traditional portrait of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain with the initials of the artist and the inscriptions "NIUE", "ELIZABETH II", "FIVE DOLLARS", the year of issue and purity details.
The coin comes in its original wooden box with a certificate of authenticity in a limited edition of only 500 pieces for the whole world!
