Rock paintings in Tadrart Acacus
The rock massif of Tadrart Acasus is linked to Tassili N'Ajjer in Algeria (also a UNESCO site). The cave paintings here date from 12,000 BC to 100 AD. They are painted in very different styles. They depict the changing lifestyles of the local population and the changes in the fauna and flora of this area on the edge of the Sahara.
