Detailed description
Abalone Pearl - Lastura - Hologram
Unique silver coin in the atypical shape of an oyster with a real pearl issued by the Republic of Palau in 2012 in the series "Treasures of the Sea" in the purity of the purest 99.9% silver of top quality proof.
The bottom of the reverse side features the real Abalone (Haliotis Iris) pearl and the year of issue. The convex hologram produces rainbow colors when the coin is turned from side to side. These aspects make this one of the most remarkable coins in the world. On the obverse side of this coin is the stylized emblem of the Republic of Palau, "Rainbow's end" (a composition of a mermaid with Neptune holding his trident and an open treasure chest at his side). The entire composition is surrounded by an ornate shield, above which is a man in a canoe and above him is the inscription 'REPUBLIC OF PALAU'. Below the shield is the denomination.
The following coins were issued in the "Sea Treasures" series: Oyster (2011), Haliotis Iris Abalone (2012), Cyrtonails Tampicoensis (2013) and Hyriopsis Cumingii (2014).
The coin comes in a deluxe blue box along with a certificate of authenticity in a limited edition of only 2000 pieces for the entire world!
