An exclusive gold-plated silver coin issued in 2012 is dedicated to the popular silver investment coins in the Canadian Wildlife series. The reverse of the coin depicts a massive 24 karat gold-plated Canadian moose standing in the grass. Inscriptions on the coin include CANADA, 9999, FINE SILVER, 1 OZ, ARGENT PUR and the initials WW by engraver William Woodruff. The obverse depicts a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II created in 2003 by Canadian artist Susanna Blunt. Inscriptions on the coin ELIZABETH II, 5 DOLLARS and year of issue.
Wolf, Grizzly, Cougar, Elk, Antelope, and Wood Buffalo were issued in the Canadian Wildlife series.
The coin is supplied in a limited mintage of only 2500 pieces for the entire world.
