Gold Plated Grizzly - 1 Oz
This exclusive gold plated silver coin released in 2011 is dedicated to the popular silver investment coins in the Canadian Wildlife series. The reverse of the coin features a gold-plated motif of a growling grizzly bear surrounded by typical Canadian wildlife scenery. Inscriptions on the coin are CANADA, 9999, FINE SILVER, 1 OZ, ARGENT PUR and the initials WW by the engraver William Woodruff. The obverse depicts a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II created in 2003 by Canadian artist Susanna Blunt. Inscriptions on the coin ELIZABETH II, 5 DOLLARS and year of issue.
Wolf, Grizzly, Cougar, Elk, Antelope, and Wood Buffalo were issued in the Canadian Wildlife series.
The coin comes in protective plastic in a limited mintage of only 2500 pieces for the entire world!
