75th Anniversary - Canada's First Banknote - 1 Oz
This exclusive silver coin was issued by the Royal Canadian Mint in 2010 and precision struck in a premium quality proof of 1 Oz (31.39 g) in absolute purity of the purest 99.99% silver to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the first Canadian banknotes issued in 1935.
The reverse design is based on the theme of the reverse of the first Canadian dollar bill dedicated to agriculture. The reverse of the coin depicts an allegorical figure of a woman (a symbol of agriculture) along with a farmer admiring his crops. The denomination "20 DOLLARS" is placed above the figures and below them an inscription dedicated to the anniversary "1935 CANADA 2010". The obverse shows a traditional portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt with the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II" and "D G REGINA".
The coin comes in a burgundy gift box along with a numbered certificate of authenticity in a limited edition of only 7,500 pieces for the entire world!
