This exclusive silver coin, issued by the Bank of Israel in 2012, is dedicated to famous biblical events, this time the motif of Daniel in the lion's den was chosen.
The coin is the seventeenth in the world's popular "Biblical Art" series and depicts on its reverse the motif of the prophet Daniel in the lion's den, praying to God, surrounded by two lions, but unharmed. Above him is an opening into the pit from which rays of light fall on Daniel, symbolizing God's protection.
The obverse shows a hungry and roaring lion, the denomination, the year of issue, the inscriptions are in English/Hebrew/Arabic: "DANIEL IN THE DAY OF LIONS DANIEL 6 ", "ISRAEL".
The coin comes in a gift box with a certificate of authenticity in a limited edition of only 2800 pieces for the whole world!
