This exclusive silver coin issued by the Bank of Israel in 2010 is dedicated to the ancient buildings of the city of Akko. The Akko silver coin won the second prize in the Vicenza Numismatic Palladio international competition for its precise depiction of the ancient walls and buildings of Akko.
The coin is the third in the UNESCO World Heritage series and depicts on its reverse the inscription "OLD AKKO", the ancient walls, the famous clock tower, the Crusader Knights' Hall, the White Mosque and other buildings. The obverse shows the walls of Akko, the face value, the inscription "ISRAEL" in English/Hebrew/Arabic, the Unesco emblem and the year of issue.
The coin comes in a gift box with a certificate of authenticity in a limited edition of only 2800 pieces for the whole world!
