An exclusive Bank of New Zealand silver coin issued for 2021 and struck in a premium proof grade, weighing 1 troy ounce of pure 99.9% silver, it commemorates Queen Elizabeth II's 95th birthday.
The reverse of the coin depicts Queen Elizabeth II, created by a special black and white photo stamping technique, and the motif is complemented by the Queen's coloured dress. The entire scene is accompanied by a flower at the right edge of the coin and the inscriptions around the edge "QUEEN ELIZABETH II", "95TH BIRTHDAY" and the denomination "ONE DOLLAR".
The obverse of the coin bears a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley, the inscriptions "NEW ZEALAND", "ELIZABETH II", the year of issue "2021" and weight and fineness information.
