This exclusive silver partially enamelled coin issued by the Royal Canadian Mint in 2016 is precision struck in a premium quality proof weighing 5 Oz (157.6 g) in the purest 99.99% silver purity. This coin is the third of three coins released in the "Mythical Realms of the Haida" series and is dedicated to the Bear of Canadian Wildlife.
The coin depicts a motif on the reverse in the style of the Haida art of Canada's indigenous peoples, depicting a bear. The motif is further enhanced by the silhouette of a full moon created by a simple circular outline on the background. This is followed by the inscriptions "CANADA", the year of issue, the artist's initials "AW" and the denomination "50 DOLLARS". The obverse features a traditional portrait of Britain's Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt with the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II" and "D.G. REGINA".
